John Batten is a London based illustrator who originally studied at St Martin's School of Art.

He has been working freelance for a wide range of clients in the UK & internationally since 1986. He is very versatile, with styles ranging from Line & Flat colour to Black & White woodcuts.

He enjoys tackling any subject, but is particularly interested in drawing people of any ethnicity.

He normally starts his projects with rough pencil sketches which are sent to the client for approval, then worked on digitally using a combination of Painter, Photoshop, & Illustrator. Files are then delivered to the client in the required format via Email.
